23-year-old Tyler Levi Brant was released from the hospital and booked into the Multnomah County Jail late Monday night. Brant was charged with Robbery in the First Degree and Burglary in the First Degree and will be arraigned today. On Monday July 9, 2012 at 9:35 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to Central Precinct responded to the report of a man trying to fight with passersby near Southwest 5th Avenue and Main Street. Officers arrived in the area and located the man, 23-year-old Justin Robert Hale, who was screaming, flailing his arms, and running down the street after another man. Today, Wednesday July 11, 2012, at 3:39 p.m., the U.S. Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force, assisted by Portland Police Bureau officers, arrested 20-year-old Emanuel Porras in connection with an attempted murder investigation in Escondido, California. Detectives from the San Diego (CA) Sheriff's Department North County Regional Gang Task Force were in Portland today to arrest Porras on the outstanding warrant. Porras was located at Northeast 79th Avenue and Fremont Street where he ran from officers but was quickly taken into custody.
