07/12/2012 Plaid Pantry Offers Up to $5,000 Reward in Woodstock Neighborhood Robbery

This morning, Thursday July 12, 2012, at 2:27 a.m., Portland Police officers assigned to East Precinct responded to the report of an armed robbery at the Plaid Pantry, located at 4214 Southeast Woodstock Boulevard. Officers arrived and contacted the clerk who told police that four men entered the store, one armed with a handgun, and robbed the store of a large quantity of cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the store. The victim described the four suspects as males, approximately 5'6" tall, wearing masks or t-shirts covering their faces. Surveillance video and images of the four suspects have been released publicly to assist in the investigation.*-..

07/12/2012 Update on Old Town Search Warrant at Hip Sing Association Building

Investigators from the Metro Gang Task Force (MGTF) arrested seven (7) people in connection with this morning's search warrant at the Hip Sing Association building in Downtown Portland's Old Town neighborhood. All seven (7) people were booked into the Multnomah County Jail on state charges, unrelated felony warrants or parole violation detainers. Some of these suspects may face federal charges. Investigators recovered more than two (2) ounces of methamphetamine, drug packaging materials, digital scales, ammunition, surveillance equipment, multiple weapons (not firearms), body armor and various stolen items including computers and dozens of bicycles. Investigators from the Central Precinct Neighborhood Response Team (NRT) assisted in the investigation and will be going through the recovered stolen property in an attempt to determine the rightful owners. Arrested in connection with this investigation and search warrant are: 40-year-old Tracey Scott Ledoux (Parole Violation) 31-year-old Amy Sue Macioroski (Warrant - Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle) 43-year-old Donald Stumpff (Parole Violation) 42-year-old Troy Lee Guy (Possession of Methamphetamine) 32-year-old Jennifer Ann Mahoney (Possession of Methamphetamine) 28-year-old Lisa Marie Mills (Parole Violation) 25-year-old Sean Michael Evans (Warrant - Theft in the Second Degree) The Metro Gang Task Force (MGTF) is a multi-agency investigative unit commanded by Captain Tim Gerkman of the Gresham Police Department.*-..

07/11/2012 California Fugitive Arrested in Northeast Portland's Roseway Neighborhood

Today, Wednesday July 11, 2012, at 3:39 p.m., the U.S. Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force, assisted by Portland Police Bureau officers, arrested 20-year-old Emanuel Porras in connection with an attempted murder investigation in Escondido, California. Detectives from the San Diego (CA) Sheriff's Department North County Regional Gang Task Force were in Portland today to arrest Porras on the outstanding warrant. Porras was located at Northeast 79th Avenue and Fremont Street where he ran from officers but was quickly taken into custody.
