63-Year-Old Suspected Serial Killer Indicted for Three Portland Homicides

On Monday August 27, 2012, a Multnomah County Grand Jury indicted 63-year-old Jeffrey Paul Cutlip in connection with three cold case homicides that occurred in Portland, Oregon.
Cutlip was indicted on two counts of Aggravated Murder and nine counts of Murder in connection with the deaths of 44-year-old Marlene Claire Carlson in 1975, 15-year-old Julie Marie Bennett in 1977 and 33-year-old Nielene Doll in 1993.
Cutlip will be arraigned on Tuesday August 28, 2012 in Multnomah County Court.
On August 6, 1975, 44-year-old Marlene Claire Carlson was found strangled in her apartment at 715 Southwest 15th Avenue.*-..

Portland Police are stepping up DUII patrols

This Labor Day weekend, the Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with the Oregon Department of Transportation and the Oregon Association of Chiefs of Police will be providing extra police patrols looking for DUII drivers.
Beginning Friday, August 31, 2012, in the evening and continuing through Monday, August 3, 2012, in the evening, extra officers will patrol the highways and city streets looking for impaired drivers.
It is our duty as police and it is your duty as citizens to prevent drunk driving.
