The Portland Police Bureau is asking the community to be aware of a reported incident where a stranger spoke to a young girl in the Sellwood-Moreland Neighborhood.

On Thursday February 12, 2015, an officer assigned to the Youth Services Division took a report from a 12-year-old girl who told police that she was walking to school on Wednesday morning, at approximately 8:45 a.m., when a clean-cut white male drove up to her in a white van with "Diaper Guys" written on the side and asked her to come to the vehicle.*-..

Crisis Negotiatiors successfully convinced the suicidal man to step away from the edge of the bridge and go to a Portland hospital for treatment.

All lanes of southbound I-405 on the top deck of the Fremont Bridge should be open shortly.

Portland Police Bureau Crisis Negotiators are responding to assist Central and North Precinct officers with a man who is threatening to jump from the top deck of the Fremont Bridge.

The right two traffic lanes (North side) of the bridge are blocked and drivers passing through Downtown are advised to use I-5 southbound as an alternate route.

02/11/2015 Off-Duty Portland Police Criminalist Arrested in Clark County, Washington

On Wednesday February 11, 2015, the Portland Police Bureau learned that an off-duty Criminalist was arrested for Assault in the Fourth Degree (Domestic Violence) by the Clark County (WA) Sheriff's Office on Tuesday evening.

Criminalist Bradley McIntyre, a 17-year-veteran, has been placed on paid Administrative Leave pending the ongoing investigation and internal review process.*-..

02/11/2015 Stranger Danger Alert in Northeast Portland's Irvington Neighborhood

The Portland Police Bureau is asking the community to be aware of a reported incident where a stranger talked to some Irvington School students on the afternoon of Tuesday February 10, 2015.

Officers from the Youth Services Division took a report this morning about the incident that occurred on Tuesday afternoon, at approximately 3:37 p.m.

The two 10-year-old students told police that they were walking home from school and at Northeast 14th Avenue and Thompson Street, a stranger approached them and told them to come to him.

The students told police that they ran away and that they were chased by the man.*-..

02/10/2015 Crime Stoppers of Oregon to Offer Rewards in New Campaign "Felons and Kids with Guns" (Photo)

Crime Stoppers of Oregon is announcing a new campaign to help in the fight against gun crime.

Crime Stoppers of Oregon is offering a minimum $250 cash reward to anyone who reports a convicted felon or a juvenile in possession of a firearm and tipsters can remain anonymous.

Under Oregon law, persons under the age of 18 years old (generally) and persons convicted of a felony crime may not lawfully possess firearms.

To qualify for the reward, the tip must lead to an arrest and the seizure of a firearm and the tip must be submitted to Crime Stoppers of Oregon.*-..

02/09/2015 UPDATE - ARREST: Key Bank Robbed in Southwest Portland's Multnomah Neighborhood (Photo)

Officers from the Tigard Police Department arrested 34-year-old Kevin Joseph Parker after a traffic pursuit this morning.

Robbery detectives from the Portland Police Bureau learned that Parker was the suspect in an earlier bank robbery and a robbery at a dry cleaning business.

At 8:51 a.m., detectives believe that Parker robbed the Barber Cleaners, located at 7463 Southwest Barbur Boulevard, then approximately 20 minutes later robbed the Key Bank on Southwest Troy Street.

Parker has been booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Robbery in the Third Degree, Attempt to Elude by Vehicle, and a Federal Hold with Bank Robbery charges pending.
