The Portland Police Bureau would like to make the public aware of reports that a man has been exposing himself to women at Southeast Portland businesses.

The most recent report was on Friday November 6, at a business at Southeast 17th Avenue and Hawthorne Boulevard.

The suspect was inside the store browsing and asked the female employee for help.*-..

11/10/2015 Gang Enforcement Team Investigating Two Separate Shootings in Northeast Portland - No Known Injuries (Photo)

On Tuesday November 10, 2015, at 11:42 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report of gunfire at Northeast 17th Avenue and Alberta Street.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted witnesses who heard gunshots and saw an African American male with a gun run to a vehicle that sped out of the area.

Officers did not locate any gunshot victims at the scene and checked the area for the suspect but did not locate anyone matching his description.

The suspect was described as an African American male in his early-20s, 6'1" to 6'3", wearing a light blue jacket.*-..

On Tuesday November 10, 2015, at 2:55 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to an alarm call at the Progressive Collective Dispensary, located at 9810 East Burnside Street.

11/09/2015 Burglary Suspect Arrested After Threatening Man with a Knife in Mt. Scott - Arleta Neighborhood (Photo)

On Monday November 9, 2015, at 6:38 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to a residence in the 8000 block of Southeast Martins Street after the report that 20 minutes earlier, a half-naked man that appeared to be in a mental health crisis broke into a home and threatened the homeowner with a knife.

As officers were responding to the scene, a second call came in on the same street reporting nearly identical behavior.

11/07/2015 UPDATE #3: Officers Negotiating with Armed, Suicidal Man Outside Good Samaritan Hospital in Northwest Portland

The Oregon State Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy today on the suspect in this incident, 51-year-old Michael Gregory Johnson, and determined that he died after suffering multiple gunshot wounds.

The officers involved in the shooting are Officer Russell Corno, assigned to the Gang Enforcement Team (GET) and the Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT); and, Officer Chad Daul, assigned to the Transit Police Division and SERT.

Both officers will remain on paid Administrative Leave, which is standard procedure, until the conclusion of this investigation.

No additional information is expected to be released until the completion of Grand Jury.



Detectives have identified the armed individual killed this morning as a 51-year-old man.*-..

11/06/2015 Shooting Investigation Underway in Northeast Portland's King Neighborhood - One Man Injured (Photo)

On Friday November 6, 2015, at 3:42 p.m., North Precinct, Gang Enforcement Team (GET) and Youth Services Division officers responded to the report of a shooting victim being transported to a Portland hospital after being shot near Northeast 7th Avenue and Alberta Street.

The 38-year-old male victim is being treated at a Portland hospital for a serious, but not believed to be life-threatening gunshot wound.

Preliminary information indicates that several vehicles and people were seen running from the area of gunfire.

Based on information learned at the scene, the Gang Enforcement Team (GET) is responding to conduct an investigation.*-..
