On Monday September 28, 2015, at 8:25 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report of a robbery and shooting at the Be Van Sports Bar, located at 10834 Northeast Sandy Boulevard.

09/28/2015 UPDATE #3 - ARREST: Major Crash Team Investigating a Hit and Run Crash on Southeast Stark Street (Photo)

On Sunday September 27, 2015, at 3:12 p.m., a community member called police to report finding a vehicle matching the suspect description from Sunday morning's fatal hit and run on Stark Street.

Central Precinct officers arrived at Southeast 20th Avenue and Oak Street and noted that the vehicle closely matched the description and contacted Traffic Division investigators, who responded to the scene.

Investigators learned that the owner lived nearby and were able to make contact with him.*-..

09/27/2015 Gang Enforcement Team Investigating an Early Morning Shooting in North Portland's Eliot Neighborhood - One Person Injured (Photo)

On Sunday September 27, 2015, at 3:05 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center on the report of a gunshot victim that arrived in the emergency room.

Officers learned that the shooting occurred at North Tillamook Street and Williams Avenue at approximately 2:00 a.m. Police responding to the earlier call did not locate any victims or evidence of gunfire, but upon returning to the scene, evidence was located, including damage to a parked car.

The victim, a 30-year-old male who is a known gang member, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was not cooperative with investigators.

There is no suspect information.*-..

09/26/2015 Generous Community Donates Food and Clothing While Disposing of Unwanted Prescriptions and Shredding Sensitive Documents (Photo)

On Saturday September 26, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Portland Police Bureau's White Collar Crimes Unit, in cooperation with the Office of Neighborhood Involvement (ONI), the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and U.S. Bank, hosted a community shred event, drug turn-in and food drive at Southeast Precinct, located at 4735 East Burnside.

Community members brought bags and boxes of sensitive documents for shredding, including old checkbook stock and bank statements, as well as unwanted prescription drugs to be properly and safely disposed.

Community members showed their generosity by overflowing donation barrels with food and clothing for the Sunshine Division.*-..

09/26/2015 Beaverton Man Indicted on Charges Related to Recent Southwest Portland Sexual Assault (Photo)

On Friday, September 25, 2015, 29-year-old Omar Rene Solano Villanueva, a Beaverton resident, was indicted by a Multnomah County Grand Jury on charges including Rape in the First Degree, Sodomy in the First Degree, Sex Abuse in the First Degree and Unlawful Sexual Penetration in the First Degree, related to a sexual assault at a Southwest Portland residence, during the early morning hours of September 12, 2015.

Portland Police Bureau Sex Crimes Unit detectives arrested Solano Villanueva in Downtown Portland on September 18, 2015, after it had been reported to police that Solano Villanueva had met a 28-year-old woman at a Downtown Portland bar, after which, they had gone together to a restaurant in the Hillsdale area of Southwest Portland, where they listened to music and had a drink.*-..
