10/11/2013 Cops to Serve Burgers Instead of Warrants at the Red Robin "Tip-A-Cop" Fundraiser on Saturday

On Saturday October 12, 2013, members of the Portland Police Bureau will be participating in the annual "Tip-A-Cop" fundraiser for Special Olympics Oregon.

Officers will be serving lunch and dinner at the Lloyd District Red Robin, located at 1139 Northeast Grand Avenue, and collecting tips benefiting Special Olympics Oregon.

Officers will be on hand from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

"Tip-A-Cop" is part of the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) campaign.*-..

10/11/2013 East Precinct Officers Serve Warrant and Arrest Two Men in Drug House Investigation

Today, Friday October 11, 2013, at approximately 11:00 a.m., officers assigned to the East Precinct Neighborhood Response Team (NRT) and Street Crimes Unit (SCU) served a search warrant at a residence in the 7800 block of Southeast Raymond Street.

The investigation began after numerous neighborhood complaints about drug activity at the residence.

Two men, 60-year-old Robert Kent Carlson and 54-year-old Steven Marshall Buck, were arrested and charged with Manufacturing and Delivery of Heroin within 1000' of a School and Frequenting a Place where Controlled Substances are Used.

The residence shares a property line with Marysville School.
