11/10/2012 Portland Police Investigating Two Overnight Pedestrian Robberies in Southeast Portland's Woodstock Neighborhood

On Friday November 9, 2012, at 11:40 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to East Precinct responded to Southeast 47th Avenue and Woodstock Boulevard on the report of a an armed robbery to a pedestrian. Officers contacted the victim who told police that the suspect ran away northbound on 47th Avenue and that the suspect took the victim's keys, wallet and eyeglasses. Multiple officers, including a Police K-9 unit, began searching the area and officers came across a second victim in the 5600 block of Southeast 46th Avenue, who told police that the suspect was last seen running eastbound through the neighborhood. While officers were searching the neighborhood they came across an occupied stolen car parked in the 5500 block of Southeast 48th Avenue.*-..

This afternoon, Friday November 9, 2012, at 4:14 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to East Precinct responded to Providence Medical Center, located at 4805 Northeast Glisan Street, to investigate a possible adult abuse incident. 11/09/2012 Portland Police Arrest Man With Knives - Perform Lifesaving CPR

Today, November 9, 2012, at 3:41 a.m., Portland Police officers contacted a 22-year-old man at North Ida Avenue and Central Street who was acting suspiciously and riding his bicycle without a light. The man began acting strangely and told officers that he had something for them and lifted up his shirt, exposing the handle of a large knife in his waistband. The officers grabbed onto the man's arms and removed the knife from his waistband.*-..

32-Year-Old Steven Wayne Gentry was arrested and booked into the Multnomah County Jail in connection with this afternoons bank robbery in Downtown Portland.
