On Thursday July 4, 2013, at 9:44 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the 6500 block of Northeast Broadway on the report of a fireworks call where four people were injured. Officers and medical personnel arrived and located four people that were injured by some kind of an exploding fireworks rocket. 38-year-old Michael Molesworth of Southeast Portland and a 16-year-old Milwaukie boy were both transported to Portland hospitals for treatment to injuries.*-..

07/06/2013 UPDATE: Joint Police and Fire Investigation in Bridgeton Neighborhood on Car Into the River

Officer arrested 27-year-old Joshua Peter Tonder after he spent nearly 4 hours in the water after crashing a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee into the Columbia River. Tonder was transported to the hospital where he was issued citations for Reckless Driving, Hit and Run, Attempt to Elude, Driving While Suspended, Driving Uninsured, and Careless Driving. Tonder, from Burlington, Washington, remained at the hospital being treated for hypothermia. ###PPB### ###ORIGINAL MESSAGE BELOW### This morning, Friday July 5, 2013, at 2:11 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report of a car over an embankment and into the Columbia River in the 500 block of North Bridgeton Road.
