On Wednesday June 13, 2012, at approximately 1:00 p.m., members of the Portland Police Bureau's Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT) arrested 40-year-old Rory Everett Buen in Northeast Portland for an outstanding parole violation warrant. 06/13/2012 Portland Police Arrest Burglar in Northwest Portland

On Wednesday June 13, 2012, at 4:12 a.m., Portland Police officers assigned to Central Precinct responded to the report of a burglary in progress at Athletes Lounge, located at 2671 Northwest Vaughn Street. Officers and a police K-9 unit arrived and established a perimeter around the business and used a loud hail to order people in the building to come outside. 26-year-old Daniel Lee Scott exited the building and was taken into custody without incident. Scott had removed several high-end bicycles from the store prior to police arriving.*-..

06/13/2012 Update to North Portland SERT Call - David Chilton in Custody

On Tuesday June 12, 2012, at 8:47 p.m., Portland Police officers responded to the report of an armed man inside the Fred Meyer store at North Interstate Avenue and Lombard Street. Officers responded to the store and made contact with Loss Prevention Officers at Fred Meyer who led the police to the security office where they were able to utilize the store's surveillance system to get a close look at the armed suspect. Based on the the officers observations, they believed the person was likely to be 54-year-old David William Chilton, wanted in connection with an armed bank robbery and carjacking on Monday in Northeast Portland and brandishing a firearm in Southwest Portland. The Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT) and Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) were activated to respond to the scene and began arriving shortly after 9:00 p.m. Officers were able to maintain visual contact with the suspect as other officers were able to get remaining employees and customers out of the store without alerting the suspect. At approximately 10:15 p.m., the suspect was taken into custody by SERT officers and a police K-9 unit inside the store.*-..
