On Saturday December 6, 2014, Portland Police officers will be monitoring a protest being held outside the Edith Green - Wendell Wyatt Federal Building on Southwest 3rd Avenue.

The hope of the Portland Police Bureau is for the event to be a peaceful expression of free speech without infringing on the rights of others.

Police officials have attempted to communicate with event organizers about any marches scheduled for after the protest but have not been given any information that will help facilitate a peaceful march through Portland.
