02/14/2012 Portland Police Gang Detectives Arrest 2 for September Gang Shooting

On October 1, 2011, two suspects in a September gang shooting were arrested in Utah, with the assistance of Utah law enforcement officials. 20-year-old Drew Tama Morrison of Taylorsville, Utah, and 25-year-old Chester Pedro Archuletta of Boise Idaho, were arrested as a result of an investigation into the September 21, 2011 shooting at Northeast 107th Avenue and Oregon Street where a car and a residence were hit by gunfire after the suspects robbed two men for marijuana. Portland Police Bureau Gang Enforcement Team Detectives obtained information that the suspects might be in Utah and on October 1, 2011, traveled to Salt Lake City where they worked with the Taylorsville Police Department, the Utah Highway Patrol and the U.S. Marshals Service to locate and arrest the two men.
