Today, Wednesday March 27, 2013, the Portland Police Bureau Youth Services Division (YSD) announced an exciting partnership between the Police Bureau and The Snowman Foundation. This partnership was born out of collaboration between the Portland Police Bureau Youth Services Division and The Snowman Foundation to increase donations of musical instruments to The Snowman Foundation's "Play it Forward" program. What began as the vision of Northwest composer and pianist Michael Allen Harrison has evolved into a community effort that shares the joy, the healing, the learning, and the life-changing gifts music has to offer.*-..

06/19/2015 Portland Police Youth Summer Camp Closing Ceremony Today at Centennial High School

Today, Friday June 19, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Portland Police Bureau's Youth Summer Camp will come to a close.

At the closing ceremony, children from the camp will share bits and pieces about their camp experience at an assembly that will include members of the Portland Police Bureau, the Mounted Patrol Unit, Portland Fire & Rescue, the Gresham Police Department, Oregon National Guard, American Medical Response, Mountain Wave Rescue, Camp Rosenbaum Fund Representatives, and Z-Man Foundation Representatives.

The camp and closing ceremony is at Centennial High School, located at 3505 Southeast 182nd Avenue.

Members of the media are invited and encouraged to attend the closing ceremony.

The 3rd Annual Youth Summer Camp began on June 15 and was filled with 500 kids, ages 8 to 14 years old.*-..
