09/13/2013 UPDATE - SURVEILLANCE IMAGES: Portland Police Investigating a Strong-Arm Robbery of a iPad from a Deaf Man Riding MAX

TriMet has released four surveillance images from this morning's strong-arm robbery of an iPad from a deaf man riding MAX.

Anyone with information on the identity of these suspects can email it to, and reference Case #13-77163.



This morning, Friday September 13, 2013, at 5:25 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the 122nd MAX Transit Station on the report that two suspects stole an iPad from a man riding the MAX.

Officers arrived and spoke to witnesses and the victim, a 62-year-old man, and learned that two suspects got on an eastbound MAX at the Gateway Transit Station and began being aggressive towards the victim, who was holding his iPad.

The victim is deaf and uses the iPad as his primary means of communication.

As the train stopped at the 102nd Transit Station, one of the suspects grabbed the victim's iPad and ran off the train and continued running South on 102nd Avenue.*-..

09/16/2013 Crime Stoppers of Oregon Asking for Public's Help Sought Locating a Wanted Gang Associate

The Portland Police Bureau's Domestic Violence Reduction Unit (DVRU), in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help in locating 23-year-old Dominique James Preston.

Preston has felony warrants related to domestic violence and associates with known gang members.

Preston is associated to multiple addresses in Portland but may be in the Seattle area.

Preston is described as an African American male, 5'10" tall, 170 pounds, black hair, brown eyes, and multiple tattoos on his face, neck and arms.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in this case, or any unsolved felony, and you can remain anonymous.*-..
