On Saturday February 15, 2014, at 3:18 a.m., North Precinct officers were responding to a disturbance call and were traveling westbound on North Lombard Street approaching Commercial Avenue when a car traveling in front of them pulled a U-turn, causing a collision with the patrol car.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 2004 Chevrolet Impala, attempted to flee the scene in the vehicle after the crash but only made it to North Kerby Avenue before the vehicle became completely disabled.*-..

03/19/2014 Drunk Driver Arrested After Driving into MAX Tunnel in Southwest Portland (Photo)

On Wednesday March 19, 2014, at 5:09 a.m., Central Precinct and Transit Police Division officers responded to the TriMet MAX tunnel, West of the Goose Hollow Transit Station, on the report that someone drove a vehicle into the tunnel on the MAX tracks.

Officers arrived and located the vehicle, a 1999 Hyundai four-door, and the driver who was not injured.

The driver, 28-year-old James Edmund Dejarnette, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII) and Reckless Driving.*-..

On January 16, 2015, officers assigned to the Portland Police Bureau's Drugs and Vice Division (DVD) arrested two men as part of two heroin overdose death investigations.

41-year-old Arturo Pineda-Chavez and 36-year-old Dimas Rafael Laso-Barrajona were booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Distribution and Possession of Heroin.
