On Sunday February 2, 2014, the Portland Police Bureau and the Oregon State Police combined efforts to keep the Portland Metro area safe from drunk drivers.

07/19/2014 Suspect Approaching Women in Lower Southeast Portland Arrested by Central Precinct Officers (Photo)

On Friday July 18, 2014, at 11:12 p.m., Central Precinct officers arrested 44-year-old Jerry Johnson after Sex Crimes Unit detectives determined that he was the suspect that kissed a woman at OMSI and approached other women in Lower Southeast Portland.

Officers arrested him at his home in the 2600 block of Northwest Upshur Street and transported him to the Detective Division.

Detectives learned that Johnson was working as a security guard, but quit on July 17, due to the intense public scrutiny on the case.

Johnson was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on a charge of Sex Abuse in the Third Degree.*-..

04/19/2010 Suspect Arraigned in 2005 Rape Case

This morning, 28-year-old David Samuel Washington was arraigned in a Multnomah County courtroom and charged with one count of Rape in the First Degree, one count of Kidnapping in the First Degree, one count of Attempt Aggravated Murder, and one count of Burglary in the First Degree. These charges are from an incident that occurred on October 20, 2005 in the 1600 Block of SE Bidwell Street at approximately 5:00 p.m. On that day, Portland Police Officers responded to that address and located a female victim who had been sexually assaulted by an unknown male suspect who had forced his way into her apartment.*-..
