09/13/2013 UPDATE - SURVEILLANCE IMAGES: Portland Police Investigating a Strong-Arm Robbery of a iPad from a Deaf Man Riding MAX

TriMet has released four surveillance images from this morning's strong-arm robbery of an iPad from a deaf man riding MAX.

Anyone with information on the identity of these suspects can email it to, and reference Case #13-77163.



This morning, Friday September 13, 2013, at 5:25 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the 122nd MAX Transit Station on the report that two suspects stole an iPad from a man riding the MAX.

Officers arrived and spoke to witnesses and the victim, a 62-year-old man, and learned that two suspects got on an eastbound MAX at the Gateway Transit Station and began being aggressive towards the victim, who was holding his iPad.

The victim is deaf and uses the iPad as his primary means of communication.

As the train stopped at the 102nd Transit Station, one of the suspects grabbed the victim's iPad and ran off the train and continued running South on 102nd Avenue.*-..

The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help in solving a hit and run to a bicyclist in North Portland. On Saturday June 15, 2013, at approximately 11:30 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to North Interstate Avenue, just North of Greeley Avenue, on the report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle that fled the scene. Officers arrived and determined that the pedestrian was actually a bicyclist, later identified as 59-year-old Mike Jan Cooley of North Portland.*-..

12/18/2013 UPDATE - Update on Pursuit of Wanted Suspect that Ended in North Portland's Portsmouth Neighborhood

The three people arrested today have been identified as 27-year-old Michael James Allen, 23-year-old Kathryn Ann Eisenblatter, and 20-year-old Jaymie Anne Weaver-Butler.

All three will be booked into the Multnomah County Jail on outstanding warrants.

The driver, Michael Allen, is expected to face multiple additional charges as the investigation continues.

The pedestrian who died on Saturday evening was identified as 62-year-old Brian Francis Kenny, no known address.
