The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help in located a wanted theft suspect.

55-year-old Eman Scot Lutfi was identified through a tip to Crime Stoppers of Oregon as the person seen in surveillance video stealing a woman's purse at the Portland Shriners Hospital in May 2014.

On May 14, 2013, at approximately 12:00 p.m., investigators believe Lutfi walked into the volunteer break room at the Portland Shriners Hospital and stole a woman's purse.*-..

11/26/2013 Update to Crime Stoppers Featured Case #13-32 Durieul Harris Homicide

Portland Police Bureau Homicide detectives, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, are asking for the public's help in solving a triple shooting and homicide in Northeast Portland.

On November 9, 2013, at 12:45 a.m., North Precinct and Gang Enforcement Team officers responded to the report of a large fight and riot outside the Fontaine Bleau Nightclub, located at 237 Northeast Broadway.

Officers arrived to find a crowd of 75-100 people involved in a disturbance and 30-year-old Durieul Joseph Harris suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.*-..

04/19/2012 Update to Nancy Schoeffler Fatal Hit and Run Investigation

Portland Police Bureau Fatal Crash Team investigators have been working with the Oregon State Police Crime Lab to identify the vehicle that struck and killed 63-year-old Nancy Schoeffler (pronounced SHEFF-LER). The Crime Lab examined evidence collected from the scene and has been able to determine that the vehicle of interest is a 1996 - 2008 black Honda or Acura sedan with damage to the hood and front windshield. This investigation started on Saturday March 31, 2012, at approximately 11:20 p.m., when Portland Police officers responded to the report of someone lying in the road on in the 2800 block of West Burnside Street.*-..

06/13/2012 Update to North Portland SERT Call - David Chilton in Custody

On Tuesday June 12, 2012, at 8:47 p.m., Portland Police officers responded to the report of an armed man inside the Fred Meyer store at North Interstate Avenue and Lombard Street. Officers responded to the store and made contact with Loss Prevention Officers at Fred Meyer who led the police to the security office where they were able to utilize the store's surveillance system to get a close look at the armed suspect. Based on the the officers observations, they believed the person was likely to be 54-year-old David William Chilton, wanted in connection with an armed bank robbery and carjacking on Monday in Northeast Portland and brandishing a firearm in Southwest Portland. The Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT) and Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) were activated to respond to the scene and began arriving shortly after 9:00 p.m. Officers were able to maintain visual contact with the suspect as other officers were able to get remaining employees and customers out of the store without alerting the suspect. At approximately 10:15 p.m., the suspect was taken into custody by SERT officers and a police K-9 unit inside the store.*-..

The driver killed in Tuesday's traffic crash on Southwest Barbur Boulevard has been identified as 27-year-old Quinn Stephen Sivage.

The Traffic Division's Major Crash Team has completed the preliminary investigation into this morning's fatal crash on Southwest Barbur Boulevard, which reopened to all traffic in time for the morning commute.

Investigators determined that a 2012 Toyota Prius, driven by a 27-year-old male, was traveling southbound on Barbur Boulevard at a very high rate of speed.*-..
