10/14/2013 Holgate Transit Station Homicide Investigation Update

Detectives are continuing to investigate the shooting death of 15-year-old Abukar Madey and the injuries to 22-year-old Lucio Alejandro Ramirez-Navarro, aka Alex Ramirez.

Detectives have learned that Madey and Ramirez were associated to one another and that Ramirez is a documented member of a Hispanic street gang in Portland.

Detectives have not ruled out the possibility that the shooting is gang-related.

This investigation started on Friday October 11, 2013, at 11:56 p.m., when East Precinct officers responded to the report of a shooting at the Holgate Transit Station, located in the 9300 block of Southeast Holgate.

Officers arrived and located Ramirez suffering from several gunshot wounds at Southeast 92nd Avenue and Holgate Boulevard.*-..

10/14/2013 Two Women Arrested for Friday Night Fight and Stabbing at 82nd and Sandy

On Friday October 11, 2013, at 11:55 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report of a stabbing at Northeast 82nd Avenue and Sandy Boulevard, in the parking lot of Dotty's Deli and 7-11.

Officers arrived and contacted the victim, 21-year-old Tatiana Morris, who had a small cut on her face and had also been punched and pepper sprayed.*-..

10/16/2013 Centennial Neighborhood Business Robbed by Man Armed with a Shotgun

This evening, Tuesday October 15, 2013, at 7:41 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of an armed robbery at Baxter Auto Parts, located at 16716 Southeast Division Street.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted employees who told police that the suspect entered the store, armed with a shotgun, and demanded money.*-..

10/16/2013 UPDATE#2 - Major Crash Team Investigating Fatal Crash on SW Barbur Boulevard - Barbur Closed Both Directions

The driver killed in Tuesday's traffic crash on Southwest Barbur Boulevard has been identified as 27-year-old Quinn Stephen Sivage.


The Traffic Division's Major Crash Team has completed the preliminary investigation into this morning's fatal crash on Southwest Barbur Boulevard, which reopened to all traffic in time for the morning commute.

Investigators determined that a 2012 Toyota Prius, driven by a 27-year-old male, was traveling southbound on Barbur Boulevard at a very high rate of speed.*-..

10/16/2013 UPDATE - ARREST: Crime Stoppers Featured Case #13-27 Broadway Cab Robbery

On Tuesday October 15, 2013, wanted subject Ronald William Heasley turned himself in to Multnomah County Sheriff's Office Deputies at the Multnomah County Courthouse.

Heasley stated that he was turning himself in after seeing his picture on Crime Stoppers.

Heasley was booked on charges of Robbery in the Third Degree and Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle and booked into the Multnomah County Jail.



The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help in locating a wanted robbery suspect.

On Tuesday June 4, 2013, at 9:05 p.m., Central Precinct officers responded to the report of a Broadway Cab driver assaulted and the taxi stolen at Southwest Naito Parkway and Morrison Street.

Officers contacted the driver who told police that he was stopped on the Morrison Bridge heading westbound when the suspect ran up to the cab, stopped it, and began assaulting him after jumping into the passenger seat of the taxi.

The taxi driver got out of the cab to defend himself and the suspect got behind the wheel of the cab and drove away.

Three passengers (fares) were in the car at the time of the assault and were able to get out of the car safely before the suspect stole the car.*-..

10/16/2013 Officer Involved in 2011 Shooting Terminated from the Portland Police Bureau

On Tuesday, October 15, 2013, the Portland Police Bureau notified Officer Dane Reister that his employment has been terminated for violations of Directive 315.30 (Unsatisfactory Performance) and Directive 1050.00 (Less Lethal Weapons and Munitions).

The violations stem from the June 30, 2011, incident involving the shooting of lethal rounds rather than less lethal shotgun rounds, which critically injured William Monroe.
