On December 26, 2002, at 6:12 p.m., Portland Police arrested 22-year-old Christopher R. Angel on one count of Attempted Murder of a Police Officer, one count of Forgery in the Second Degree, one count of Resist Arrest, one count of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, one count of Impersonating a Police Officer, and one count of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument after Angel pointed a loaded .38 caliber handgun at a Portland Police Officer while she was attempting to arrest him for forgery.*-..

01/09/2015 Suspect Arrested for Murder in Connection with DoubleTree Hotel Homicide (Photo)

On Wednesday January 7, 2015, Portland Police Bureau Homicide detectives arrested 24-year-old Tae Bum Yoon in connection with the December 26, 2014 death of a young woman at the DoubleTree Hotel Lloyd Center.

Yoon, a resident of Bellevue, Washington, was arrested at Union Station after arriving in Portland by train.

This investigation began on Friday December 26, 2014, at 10:44 a.m., when North Precinct officers responded to the report of a deceased female at the DoubleTree Hotel Lloyd Center, located at 1000 Northeast Multnomah Street.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and located a deceased 24-year-old female, later identified as Ashley Renee Benson.

The Oregon State Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy and determined that Benson died of homicidal violence.

Homicide detectives developed information during the investigation that lead to the arrest of Yoon on Wednesday.

Yoon was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on Thursday and will be arraigned on Friday January 9, 2015 in Multnomah County Court.

Investigators from the Bellevue (WA) Police Department greatly assisted in this investigation.

03/04/2015 Suspect Arrested for Possession of Two Stolen Bikes, August 2014 Goat Theft (Photo)

On Tuesday March 3, 2015, Portland Police detectives arrested 18-year-old Oleg Stepanovich Plyushchev in connection with a stolen bike and stolen goat investigation.

Plyushchev was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Theft in the First Degree (three counts) and Computer Crime.

Detectives learned that Plyushchev was attempting to sell a stolen bicycle on Craigslist after the victim, 27-year-old Nicholas Carlson, called police to say he'd found his bike on Craigslist.*-..

12/21/2014 Suspect arrested for robbery in Woodstock Neighborhood

Early this morning, December 21, 2014, at 1:22 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to a robbery call at the Woodstock Plaid Pantry (5414 S.E. Woodstock Street). The caller reported that a subject had robbed the location and was being followed by a patron of the store.

01/15/2014 Suspect Arrested for September 2013 Stabbing at a King Neighborhood Nightclub (Photo)

Today, Portland Police Gang Enforcement Team detectives charged 38-year-old Daniel Devon Harden with Attempted Murder and Assault in the Second Degree in connection with a September 2013 stabbing.

Harden was arrested at his residence this morning after a search warrant served by the Portland Police Bureau's Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT) as part of a coordinated investigative effort involving the Metro Gang Task Force.

Today, Monday July 16, 2012, the U.S. Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force arrested 43-year-old Michael Leonard of Northeast Portland in connection with last week's homicide in the Wilkes neighborhood. Leonard was arrested without incident at Northeast 159th Avenue and Sandy Boulevard. On Thursday July 12 at 12:21 a.m., Portland Police officers assigned to North Precinct responded to the report of a disturbance in the parking lot of the Village Garden Apartments, located at 15278 Northeast Sandy Boulevard. On Thursday October 2, 2014, investigators from the Portland Police Bureau's Gang Enforcement Team (GET) arrested 18-year-old Patrick Shariff Paden in connection with an April 2014 shooting in the Irvington Neighborhood of Northeast Portland.

Paden was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Attempted Murder, Attempted Assault in the First Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

This investigation started on April 27, 2014, at approximately 6:30 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the area of Northeast 9th Avenue and Stanton Street on the report of gunshots heard in the area.*-..
