On Thursday June 28, 2012, at 2:30 p.m., the Portland Police Bureau will hold a news conference to discuss the ongoing Bangladesh Community Policing Project involving members of the Portland Police Bureau. The news conference will be held in the 14th Floor Conference Room of the Justice Center, 1111 Southwest 2nd Avenue in Portland. In attendance and making remarks will be the United States Ambassador to Bangladesh, Dan Mozena, Colonel Mark Crosby of the Oregon National Guard and Chief Mike Reese of the Portland Police Bureau. The news conference will also feature a few members of the Portland Police Bureau and the community discussing the impact of the Bangladesh Community Policing Project. Early Monday morning June 25, 2012, at 2:57 a.m., Portland Police officers assigned to East Precinct and the K-9 Unit pursued two stolen Hondas, recovering both and making one arrest. Officers first spotted the stolen silver 1998 Honda Civic and the stolen 1996 Honda Accord in the area of Southeast 116th Avenue and Powell Boulevard.
