06/27/2013 UPDATE - ARREST: North Precinct Officers Investigating a Parkrose Neighborhood Shooting - Victim Fled the Scene

Gang Detectives arrested 21-year-old Dechavian Jabbar Parks in connection with this morning's sexual assault and shooting. Parks was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Attempted Murder, Burglary in the First Degree, Rape in the First Degree, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Unlawful Use of a Firearm. Detectives learned that the 18-year-old female victim was asleep in her home where several others, including her mother and boyfriend were sleeping.*-..

29-year-old David Vikrum Hansen was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on a charge of Robbery in the Second Degree.

This afternoon, Tuesday September 2, 2014, at 2:08 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to Fairley's Pharmacy, located at 7226 Northeast Sandy Boulevard, on the report of an armed robbery.

As officers were en route to the location, information was updated that the suspect left on foot and was walking southbound on 73rd Avenue.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted employees who told police that the suspect entered the pharmacy, implied that he had a gun, then grabbed multiple prescription bottles before leaving on foot.

Officers checking the neighborhood located a person matching the suspect's description and he was taken into custody without incident.*-..

Robbery detectives booked 45-year-old Jacques Craner into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Robbery in the Second Degree (two counts) and Attempt to Elude in a Vehicle. During a search for evidence in the neighborhood where Craner was arrested, officers located a realistic-looking replica firearm they believe Craner used during the robberies. Portland Police Bureau Gang Enforcement Team detectives arrested two juveniles in connection with the stabbing of an 18-year-old man in Southwest Portland last night. 18-year-old Juan Antonio Bermundez was treated for non-life-threatening stab wounds at a Portland hospital. Gang Enforcement Team detectives responded to conduct an investigation last night and determined that three juvenile males pulled up to the victim and his friend at the corner of Southwest 49th Avenue and Dickinson Street and began a verbal confrontation. Based on initial information, it appears the stabbing was gang-related. Two of the suspects got out of a blue minivan and physically assaulted the victim.*-..

01/20/2013 UPDATE - ARREST: Portland Police Investigating Fatal Crash in Old Town - Multiple Pedestrians Struck

Portland Police Traffic investigators arrested 42-year-old Brent Allan Warstler of Cornelius, Oregon on multiple charges in connection with the early morning death of a pedestrian in Old Town. Warstler was charged with Manslaughter in the First Degree, Manslaughter in the Second Degree, Assault in the Second Degree, Assault in the Third Degree, Reckless Driving, and Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII). Bail is listed at $760,000. Investigators learned that Warstler was driving his 2012 Dodge Ram pick-up southbound on Northwest 5th Avenue and ran a red light at Everett Street. An eastbound 2004 Ford Crown Victoria taxi cab driven by 41-year-old Angel Custovio Olvera of Tigard, Oregon, struck Warstler's truck in the intersection, which caused the truck to veer left onto the sidewalk on the southeast corner of 5th and Everett. Two women on the sidewalk were struck by the pick-up truck, which came to rest just South of Everett Street. 20-year-old Rebecca Lynn Bray of Gresham, Oregon was pronounced dead at the scene.*-..
