On Sunday October 12, 2014, at 1:03 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to Southeast 86th Avenue and Woodstock Boulevard on the report of an assault and stabbing.

10/13/2014 Suspect Arrested After Stealing Two Forklifts, Damaging Property

On Monday October 13, 2014, at 5:50 p.m., Central Precinct officers responded to the 100 block of Southeast Washington Street on the report that a man was running around carrying a pipe and pulling up grates in the street.

As officers were still en route, the caller reported that the suspect stole a forklift from a business in the 200 block of Southeast Oak Street, crashed through the garage door, and was driving southbound towards Stark Street.

Officers arrived in the area and the man ran from the forklift into the industrial area and was not located.

At 7:43 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to 900 North Thunderbird Way on the report that a man climbed over the front gate and was on top of a portable trailer stabbing it with a knife.*-..

10/14/2014 Vehicle Crashes on MAX Lines in East Portland - Suspect Flees the Scene

On Tuesday October 14, 2014, at 5:27 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to East Burnside and 117th Avenue on the report of a vehicle stopped on the MAX tracks.

As officers were still en route, additional information was broadcast that a witness saw the African American male driver leave the area, carrying a small car seat, possibly containing a baby.

Several officers, including a Police K-9 Unit, searched the area but did not locate anyone matching the suspect's description.

The 1998 Buick Park Avenue was towed from the scene as evidence in the hit and run investigation.

10/14/2014 Residents Use Baseball Bat to Chase Away Burglar in Powellhurst-Gilbert Neighborhood of Southeast Portland

On Tuesday October 14, 2014, at 8:42 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the area of Southeast 148th Avenue and Division Street on the report of someone with a baseball bat chasing a man on a bicycle.

Several officers arrived in the area and located the man with the bat, who told police he was chasing a burglar from his home.

The victim told officers that he awoke to find a burglar in his home in the 2600 block of Southeast 131st Avenue, and that he hit the suspect with baseball bat.*-..

10/14/2014 Montavilla Neighborhood Tavern Robbed on Monday Evening

On Monday October 13, 2014, at 6:47 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the Top of the Hill Tavern, located at 9252 Northeast Glisan Street, on the report of an armed robbery.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted employees who told police that two suspects entered the bar, armed with handguns, and demanded money from several customers.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money and property from customers, the suspects left the bar and were not seen again.

Several officers, including a Police K-9 Unit, searched the neighborhood but did not locate anyone matching the suspects description.

The suspects are described as African American males in their 20s, one suspect was 5'6" tall and the other 5'8" tall.*-..

10/15/2014 24-Year-Old Woman Indicted, Arrested on 93 Charges in West Coast Car Crushing Investigation (Photo)

On Tuesday October 14, 2014, a 24-year-old woman was arrested in connection with an auto theft investigation centering on West Coast Car Crushing and A1 Light Truck and Van Parts, both located in North Portland.

Andrea Nichole Schneider was arrested booked into the Multnomah County Jail after being indicted on 93 charges: Two (2) counts of Racketeering, 22 counts of Illegal Salvage, 23 counts of Theft in the First Degree, 23 counts of Unlawful Possession of a Motor Vehicle, and 23 counts of Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle.

Schneider will be arraigned on Wednesday.

During this investigation, the Portland Police Bureau and the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office have arrested and/or indicted nearly three dozen people in connection with this investigation.*-..
