The Portland Police Bureau would like to make the public aware of an incident where a man posing as an undercover police officer stopped a woman and searched her car.

01/15/2014 UPDATE: Officers Investigating a Report of Gunshots in Southeast Portland's Powellhurst-Gilbert Neighborhood

After an extensive neighborhood search, several people were detained and released after investigators obtained their identity.

No gunshot victims were located and there have been no arrests.

The Gang Enforcement Team is investigating and anyone with information about this shooting is asked to contact Detective Meghan Burkeen at (503) 823-2092 or meghan.burkeen@portlandoregon.gov.

This morning, Wednesday January 15, 2014, at 11:14 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report that someone fired several shots from a handgun on Southeast Powell Boulevard at 134th Avenue.

Multiple officers responded to the area and learned that after the shots, several people ran from the area into the surrounding neighborhood.*-..

01/15/2014 Suspect Arrested for September 2013 Stabbing at a King Neighborhood Nightclub (Photo)

Today, Portland Police Gang Enforcement Team detectives charged 38-year-old Daniel Devon Harden with Attempted Murder and Assault in the Second Degree in connection with a September 2013 stabbing.

Harden was arrested at his residence this morning after a search warrant served by the Portland Police Bureau's Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT) as part of a coordinated investigative effort involving the Metro Gang Task Force.

Portland Police Bureau Burglary detectives, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, are asking for the public's help in identifying a residential attempted burglary suspect.

On December 3, 2013, at approximately 9:45 a.m., Central Precinct officers responded to a residence in the area of Southwest Terwilliger Boulevard and Lobelia Street on the report of an attempted burglary in progress.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted the victim who told police that the suspect did not make entry into the home and ran away before police arrived.*-..

On Friday January 17, 2014, the victim in this case met with a police sketch artist and a composite drawing of the suspect is being released to the public to aid in the identification of the suspect.

01/17/2014 19-Year-Old Woman Arrested for January 2 Crash into Southeast Portland Plaid Pantry Store (Photo)

On Thursday January 16, 2014, Traffic Division investigators arrested a 19-year-old woman on several charges in connection with the January 2, 2014 crash into a Southeast Portland Plaid Pantry store.

19-year-old Monique Ann Cortez-Munos turned herself in to police at Central Precinct on Thursday afternoon and was booked into the Multnomah County Jail for three counts of Failure to Perform the Duties of a Driver (Hit and Run) and Reckless Driving.

This investigation started on January 2, 2014, at 4:18 a.m., when East Precinct officers responded to the Plaid Pantry store, located at 6440 Southeast 82nd Avenue, on the report that a vehicle crashed through the front doors of the store then backed out and fled the scene, striking two cars that were parked in the 8100 block of Southeast Tolman Street.

Cortez-Munos left her crashed car at the scene then fled the area on foot.*-..
