This morning, Thursday November 17, 2011, the Portland Police Bureau has closed the Steel Bridge to all pedestrian, bicycle and vehicle traffic due to concerns about protesters attempting to interfere with bridge operations. The bridge will remain open for all TriMet bus and MAX service as well as freight and passenger rail service. All pedestrians, bicycle riders and private vehicles are encouraged to use alternate routes this morning or to use TriMet.
