02/03/2015 Suspect Arrested in William "Cougar" Burleigh Homicide (Photo)

On Tuesday February 3, 2015, Portland Police Bureau Homicide detectives, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force, arrested 42-year-old Robert Lewis Browne in connection with the October 2014 homicide of William "Cougar" Burleigh.

Browne was arrested near his residence in the 4400 block of Southeast 99th Avenue and transported to the Detective Division before being booked into the Multnomah County Jail late Tuesday evening.

Browne was booked on charges of Manslaughter in the Second Degree and Assault in the Second Degree after being indicted by a Multnomah County Grand Jury.

Browne will be arraigned on Wednesday in Multnomah County Court.

This investigation started on Sunday October 12, 2014, at 3:27 a.m., when Central Precinct officers responded to assist medical personnel on the report of a man lying unconscious across the street from the Portland Rescue Mission, located at 111 West Burnside Street.*-..

03/24/2015 Suspect Arrested on Saturday After Assaulting a Police Officer in Downtown Portland (Photo)

On Saturday March 21, 2015, at 3:58 p.m., Central Precinct officers contacted a subject after previously responding to reports of disturbances at O'Bryant Square, located at Southwest Park Avenue and Washington Street.

The subject, later identified as 22-year-old JJ Lee Purcell, appeared to have been in a fight and was identified to the officer by a witness as the "main aggressor" at the O'Bryant Square disturbances.

Officers determined that Purcell was going to be arrested in connection with the earlier disturbances.*-..

On Friday December 5, 2014, at 7:58 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report of an armed robbery at The Original Taco House, located at 3255 Northeast 82nd Avenue.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted employees who told police that the suspect, armed with a handgun, approached two employees when they were behind the restaurant while on a break.

The suspect ran away without getting any money or property and was last seen headed westbound away from 82nd Avenue.*-..

02/17/2016 Suspect Booked into Jail on 147 Charges Related to Fraud and ID Theft Investigation (Photo)

On February 12, 2016, 45-year-old Titus Marian Pridon was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Theft in the First Degree (three counts), Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card (134 counts) and Aggravated Identity Theft (10 counts).

The charges come as a result of an investigation into Pridon's use of cloned debit cards issued by Chase Bank to access customer accounts and withdraw thousands of dollars in cash.

This was a joint investigation involving the Portland Police Bureau, the Beaverton Police Department, J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, and Fred Meyer.

On February 12, Chase Bank alerted detectives that cloned debit cards were being used at ATM's in Beaverton and Portland.*-..
