12/11/2012 UPDATE: Gun Task Force Serving a Search Warrant in Southeast Portland

The Portland Police Bureau's Gun Task Force has arrested 34-year-old Joseph Daniel Charlton on multiple charges in connection with his 11-year-old son possessing a firearm during an armed robbery on Saturday afternoon. The Gun Task Force served a search warrant at the Charlton residence and vehicles today at 10:00 a.m. No additional firearms were recovered during the search. Oregon Department of Human Services took a 4-year-old girl into protective custody at the residence and later took a 9-year-old boy and the 11-year-old robbery suspect into protective custody at different locations.*-..

10/31/2013 UPDATE: Homicide Investigation in Northeast Portland's Beaumont-Wilshire Neighborhood

Homicide detectives have positively identified today's homicide victim as 32-year-old Jose Manuel Alvarez-Madrigal.

Alvarez-Madrigal was found deceased with a gunshot wound this morning in a vehicle on Northeast 38th Avenue and Shaver Street.

The Oregon State Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy on Friday to determine the exact cause of death.

At this point, there is no information that suggests neighborhood residents are at any risk.

10/16/2014 UPDATE: Homicide Investigation Underway in Downtown Portland - Traffic Impacted by Investigation

Streets have re-opened Downtown as investigators have cleared the crime scene near 4th and Madison.

The Oregon State Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy today on the 43-year-old male victim, whose last known address was a residence in Southwest Downtown Portland.

Homicide detectives do not have any suspect information and would like to hear from anyone with information on this case.

On Thursday October 16, 2014, at 2:25 a.m., Central Precinct officers responded to Southwest 4th and Madison Street on an assault call after Federal Police located a man collapsed on the sidewalk with an apparent stab wound.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and located the victim on the southeast corner of the intersection.*-..
