05/25/2014 UPDATE - SERT Responding to Report of Armed Man Inside Centennial Neighborhood Residence (Photo)

The suspect, 29-year-old Gino Brown, was taken into custody by members of SERT and booked into the Multnomah County Jail.

Brown was charged with domestic violence charges of Strangulation, Assault in the Fourth Degree, Coercion, and Menacing (two counts).

Brown will be arraigned on Tuesday in Multnomah County Court.



This evening, Saturday May 24, 2014, at 9:04 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of Southeast 155th Avenue on the report of a man inside a home threatening others with a firearm during a domestic violence incident.

Officers arrived in the area and learned that all occupants of the home were safely outside and that the armed man was alone inside the residence.

Numerous attempts to call into the home and the use of a loud speaker to gain the man's attention have not yielded a response.*-..

22-year-old Patrick Kimmons was the gunshot victim dropped off at Providence Hospital then later transported to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center on Friday night.

Kimmons' injuries were not life-threatening.

After Kimmons was dropped off at Providence, hospital security alerted police about a vehicle containing several occupants that was somehow associated to Kimmons.*-..

Two subjects were arrested on Friday night in connection with a shooting call at Northeast 90th Avenue and Sandy Boulevard.

09/13/2013 UPDATE - SURVEILLANCE IMAGES: Portland Police Investigating a Strong-Arm Robbery of a iPad from a Deaf Man Riding MAX

TriMet has released four surveillance images from this morning's strong-arm robbery of an iPad from a deaf man riding MAX.

This morning, Friday September 13, 2013, at 5:25 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the 122nd MAX Transit Station on the report that two suspects stole an iPad from a man riding the MAX.

Officers arrived and spoke to witnesses and the victim, a 62-year-old man, and learned that two suspects got on an eastbound MAX at the Gateway Transit Station and began being aggressive towards the victim, who was holding his iPad.

The victim is deaf and uses the iPad as his primary means of communication.

As the train stopped at the 102nd Transit Station, one of the suspects grabbed the victim's iPad and ran off the train and continued running South on 102nd Avenue.*-..
