05/26/2015 Drive-By Shooting Investigation Underway in Northeast Portland's Eliot Neighborhood - No Known Injuries

On Tuesday May 26, 2015, at 9:45 p.m., North Precinct and Gang Enforcement Team (GET) officers responded to the report of a drive-by shooting at Northeast Sacramento Street and Rodney Avenue.

Officers arrived in the area and spoke with witnesses who described seeing someone in a white American car drive by and fire multiple shots.*-..

05/27/2015 Three Arrested, 10 Pounds of Methamphetamine Seized by Drugs and Vice Division (Photo)

On Thursday May 21, 2015, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Drugs and Vice Division (DVD) officers arrested three men and seized 10 pounds of methamphetamine.

27-year-old Victor Hasan Gutierrez was charged with Conspiracy to Deliver Methamphetamine, Delivery of Methamphetamine and Possession of Methamphetamine, along with an unrelated warrant.

28-year-old Adrian Garcia was charged with Conspiracy to Deliver Methamphetamine, Delivery of Methamphetamine and Possession of Methamphetamine.

24-year-old Ramon Enrique Baez was charged with Conspiracy to Deliver Methamphetamine, Delivery of Methamphetamine and Possession of Methamphetamine.

All three were booked into the Multnomah County Jail.

Investigators from DVD received an anonymous tip that the three men were in Portland from California and were in possession of a large quantity of methamphetamine.*-..

On Thursday May 28, 2015, at 5:36 p.m., Central Precinct officers responded to the area of Southwest Macadam Avenue and Richardson Street on the report that a man stabbed himself in the neck and ran into traffic, possibly being struck by a TriMet bus.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and located the man and began treating him for his injuries.*-..

Traffic Division officers have cited the driver, 25-year-old Noah Gilbertson, for Careless Driving with Serious Injury to a Vulnerable Person.

Based on the investigation, officers determined that the bicycle rider, 37-year-old Peter Anderson, had the right of way and the green light.
