06/02/2015 Human Remains Found in Backyard of Home of Missing Man from 2014 (Photo)

On Tuesday June 2, 2015, North Precinct officers responded to a home in the 4800 block of Northeast 15th Avenue on the report of human remains being found in the backyard of the home.

Officers arrived and confirmed that the remains were human and contacted Homicide and Missing Persons Detectives to respond to the scene, along with Criminalists from the Forensic Evidence Division and the Medical Examiner.

The remains were located among thick, overgrown brush and woodpile.*-..

In May 2015, the Portland Police Bureau arrested 26 impaired drivers, utilizing additional funds supplied with a grant from Oregon Impact.

With graduation season in full swing, and Father's Day just around the corner, the Portland Police Bureau would like to remind everyone to celebrate responsibly.

Additional DUII enforcement units will be added during the month of June to ensure community safety, and to prevent needless tragedies.

06/04/2015 Portable Toilet Pushed Over With Man Inside Pleasuring Himself

On Thursday June 4, 2015, at approximately 8:00 a.m., a Central Precinct sergeant was flagged down about a man trapped in a tipped-over porta-potty near the Eastbank Esplanade at the foot of the Hawthorne Bridge.

The porta-potty was lying on the door so Portland Fire and Rescue personnel responded to lift the porta-potty and free the man trapped inside.

The 48-year-old homeless man was not injured, but was covered in fecal matter and waste from the tank of the porta-potty.

An anonymous homeless person approached the police and said that the man was inside the porta-potty with his pants around his ankles, holding the door open as he pleasured himself.*-..
