06/11/2015 UPDATE #3: Car Fire on Southbound I-5 Closes Freeway - Possible Hazardous Material Fire (Photo)

This morning, Thursday June 11, 2015, the driver of the burning truck was released from the hospital and booked into the Multnomah County Jail.

58-year-old Burke Edwards Wardall was charged with Robbery in the Third Degree, Coercion, Strangulation, and Assault in the Fourth Degree.

Wardall will be arraigned on Friday in Multnomah County Court.

North Precinct and Gang Enforcement Team (GET) officers responded to and investigated three separate shootings late Wednesday and early Thursday morning.

On Wednesday June 10, 2015, at 10:54 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report of gunshots fired into a home in the 5900 block of North Commercial Avenue.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted witnesses who described someone getting out of a dark colored SUV and firing one shot into the home.*-..

06/11/2015 Michael Harrison Indicted on Several Charges by Multnomah County Grand Jury (Photo)

On June 5, 2015, 48-year-old Michael Shawn Harrison was indicted by a Multnomah County Grand Jury on charges of Burglary in the First Degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Menacing (two counts). Harrison remains in the Multnomah County Jail awaiting trial.

The Grand Jury also determined that Officer Raylynn McKay and Sergeant Martin Padilla were justified in their use of force against Harrison.

This investigation started on May 17, 2015, at 2:15 p.m., when Central Precinct officers responded to the report of a man leaving a home in the 3900 block of Southeast 14th Avenue after cutting himself with a knife.*-..

The Gresham Police Department, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve a homicide.

Detectives are releasing a forensic sketch of one of the suspect's involved in the homicide of 25-year-old Erick Austin Carnegie.

This investigation began on May 11, 2015, at 11:21 p.m., a witness called 9-1-1 to report a shooting that occurred at a residence located at 1815 NW 7th Place in Gresham.*-..

06/11/2015 Shooting Investigation Underway in North Portland's Overlook Neighborhood - No Known Injuries

On Thursday June 11, 2015, at 10:57 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to several 9-1-1 calls reporting multiple gunshots heard in the area West of North Delaware Avenue and Killingsworth Street.

Officers arrived in the area and located evidence of gunfire in the 2900 block of North Willamette Boulevard.

No gunshot victims have been located and none have arrived at any Portland hospitals.*-..

On Friday June 12, 2015, at 10:41 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the Jiffy Lube, located at Northeast 108th Avenue and Halsey Street, on the report that a suspect was passing a bad check.

The first arriving officer was flagged down by an employee who was following the suspect, later identified as 37-year-old Cory Allan Peterson.*-..

06/13/2015 Two Men Arrested with Guns at Alberta Park on Friday Night - One a Suspect in a May 2015 Shooting (Photo)

In the evening hours of Friday June 12, 2015, North Precinct and Gang Enforcement Team (GET) officers stopped two men at Alberta Park in Northeast Portland based on information that led officers to believe both were armed with guns.

Both men were taken into custody without incident and both were armed with handguns at the time of their arrest.

27-year-old Jamias Leondre Hart-Rasberry was arrested for Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Aggravated Theft in the First Degree, and Possession of a Weapon in a Park.

20-year-old William Lamar O'Neal was arrested for Attempted Murder, Attempted Assault in the First Degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (two counts), and Possession of a Loaded Firearm.

O'Neal, a documented gang member, was identified by GET detectives as the suspect in the May 18, 2015 shooting at Montavilla Park in Northeast Portland.

The shooting in Montavilla Park occurred on Monday May 18, 2015, at 4:13 p.m. No gunshot victims were located and detectives would still like to hear from anyone with information about the shooting.
