Detectives Seeking Medically Fragile Runaway

DETECTIVES SEEK PUBLIC’S HELP IN FINDING MEDICALLY FRAGILE TEENAGER

Detectives from the Portland Police Bureau Missing Persons Unit are seeking the public’s help in locating 13-year-old Wayne Bethencourt. Bethencourt is a medically fragile runaway believed to have left home in the afternoon hours of Thursday, November 16, 2006, in the 6900 Block of North Vincent Avenue.

Bethencourt left home without medications critical to his health. He is believed to have left home with his silver BMX style bicycle, a blue backpack and a blue sleeping bag. Wayne usually relies on TriMet and MAX for transportation. Bethencourt is described as a 4’6” tall, 80 pound, white male, with short cropped blonde hair and hazel eyes. He appears much younger than 13 years old.
