Attempt to Identify Suspect in Attempted Assault

On Friday, July 27, 2007, at about 3:26 am, a female living in the 12600 block of Southeast Taggart Street woke up to find a male attempting to unbutton her pants. The victim begin to fight with the attacker and he may have sustained a moderate injury to an unknown area on his left, front side. A suspect matching this suspect's description was seen threatening a woman in the same area approximately two weeks prior to this attack.

The suspect is described as an extremely dark skinned black male in his late 20's to early 30's, 5'9" to 6' tall with a muscular build. The suspect may be associated with a 2004 white Monte Carlo.

The Portland Police Bureau's releasing the attached sketch in the hope someone may recognize the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Paul Dolbey and (503) 823-0457 or Detective Brian Sitton at (503) 823-0403.
