On November 29, 2001, a mother of an 8-year-old child living in the Portland area called the Portland Police Bureau to report that her child may have been molested. Child Abuse Team Detectives interviewed the child, and on November 30, 2001, interviewed the suspect.
On December 3, 2001, Detectives executed a search warrant at Dusenberry’s home located in the 5000 block of SE 51st Avenue in Portland, Oregon. Investigators found additional evidence including literature documenting sexual activity with children. Since the execution of the search warrant, investigators have located additional victims, including victims who are now adults.
At the time of his arrest, Dusenberry was a volunteer with Portland Impact. In the past, he has worked with numerous programs, including: Portland Parks and Recreation, The US Olympic Team, USA Amateur Boxing Association, US Olympic Committee, Babe Ruth Baseball, Boy Scouts of America, and the Boy’s Club of Portland.
