April 11, 2008 00:00

On April 3, 2008, at 5:46 pm, 28-year-old Jessica Osborne was riding her bike westbound on North Rosa Parks Way near the intersection with North Albina when she was hit from behind by a 1990's silver or gray colored Buick or Oldsmobile driven by a younger looking black male. After the collision, the vehicle turned northbound into the parking lot of a convenience store and then continued northbound on North Albina Street. Ms. Osborne was seriously injured and spent several days in Emanuel Hospital. She was released yesterday and is recovering at home.

Investigators believe the windshield of the suspect's vehicle was broken during the collision and at the time of the collision, the vehicle's passenger window was covered with plastic. A second younger looking black male was a passenger in the car.
