The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warrant with a $757,500 bail for 45-year-old Cheryl Lynn Standifer on multiple counts of Robbery, Theft, Assault and Reckless Endangerment. On Saturday, April 19, 2008, at 12:48 p.m., Standifer and 58-year-old Rosita Hammick were involved in a shoplifting incident at Walgreens, located at 2829 North Lombard Street, when employees stopped and detained Hammick. Ignoring their commands to wait for police, Hammick got into the passenger side of a vehicle waiting in the parking lot. The victim, a Walgreen’s employee, was in front of the vehicle when the driver peeled out of the lot, driving directly toward the victim, hitting her. The victim flew up on the hood of the vehicle and rolled off, sustaining injuries to her back and hip. The vehicle sped off westbound on North Lombard, but was located a short time later, and Hammick was taken into custody.
Standifer was later positively identified as the driver and is now facing multiple felony charges.
Standifer is described as a black female, 5’4”, 140 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes. Her last known address is in the 6100 block of Northeast 18th Avenue. Standifer has a lengthy criminal history and should be considered a flight risk.
