Second Victim Comes Forward In Sexual Abuse Investigation

August 28, 2008 00:00

SECOND VICTIM COMES FORWARD IN SEXUAL ABUSE INVESTIGATION

A second teenage female has come forward to report that she was a victim of sexual abuse by 33-year-old Askia Brown. Brown was first arrested on August 22, 2008, after a juvenile female victim reported that she had been a victim of sexual abuse. Since this story was first reported in the media, several people have placed anonymous information on Portland area blogs reporting potentially illegal activity.

The Police Bureau strongly encourages anyone who had inappropriate or illegal contact with Brown to report the crime to the Portland Police Bureau.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Brett Hawkinson at (503) 823-1080 or Detective Vince Cui at (503) 823-0466.

This investigation is continuing.
