Man Killed by Train

This morning at approximately 2:15 a.m., Portland Police Officers responded to Southeast Mcloughlin and Southeast Bybee Street on a call of a body found on railroad property. They found a 22-year-old deceased man who had been hit by a train. Officers believe the man was on foot when he was struck by the train and killed. The Medical Examiner's Officer responded to the scene and it was determined that this was an apparent accident.

The man was found by railroad personnel and investigators believe this accident occurred around 1:00 a.m. since that is when the last train went through this location.

The Medical Examiner's Office has identified the 22-year-old man killed by a train last night as Brian Deppa of New Jersey. The Medical Examiner's Office is investigating this as a possible suicide.
