OFFICERS AND POLICE CORPS TO MEET WITH MUSLIM COMMUNITY

On Monday, November 12, 2001, cadets from the Oregon Police Corps and several Portland Police Bureau Officers will meet with representatives of the Muslim Education Trust. The meeting will be an open discussion on how recent events have affected the Muslim community Participants will also discuss how police officers can work more effectively with the Muslim community.

The Oregon Police Corps cadets attending this event will soon graduate and begin their law enforcement career with police agencies throughout the State of Oregon.

The meeting is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. and will be held at the Muslim Education Trust located at 10330 SW Scholls Ferry Rd.

Due to limited space this event is not open to the general public. However, media representatives are welcome to attend.
