SUSPECT IDENTIFIED IN RED CROSS DONATION THEFTS

Portland Police have identified a suspect in the theft of Red Cross donation boxes. The suspect has been identified as 44-year-old Duane Arthur Lamotte. Lamotte was arrested for Robbery in the Third Degree after he struggled with convenience stores employees to retain control of a Red Cross Donation box. The convenience store was located in Washington County. Lamotte is currently in the Washington County Jail.A photograph of the Lamotte is available from the Portland Police Bureau Identification Division at (503) 823-0382.
At this time Lamotte has not been charged with any of the thefts that occurred in Multnomah County.
