TRANSITION OF SCHOOL POLICE OFFICERS COMPLETED

On Thursday, November 1, 2001, 17 Portland Public School Police Officers were sworn in as Portland Police Officers. All School Police Officers maintained their current rank. These officers are now transferring to the Training Division to begin the process of integrating into the Portland Police Bureau.

On Tuesday, November 13, 2001, the newly assigned Portland Police Bureau School Police Officers will hold their first roll call. The roll call starts at 8:30 a.m. Members of the media are welcome to attend the roll call and some officers will be available for interviews.

The office of the Portland Police Bureau School Police is located at 501 N. Dixon.
