DETECTIVE HONORED FOR COMMITMENT TO CHILDREN

On Thursday, June 6th, 2002, at 6:45 p.m., at the Rose Garden, Detective Karen Mack of the Family Services Division will be honored with the Portland Fire "Fearless" Award. During the past 8 years Detective Mack has handled more than 500 of the most serious and sensitive child abuse investigations in a caring and hard working manner. Detective Mack has demonstrated a persevering dedication and compassion while conducting investigations that can be emotionally and physically destructive for both the victim and investigator. The “Fearless” award recognizes Detective Mack for her outstanding service to the community.
