On Wednesday, June 12, 2002, a Multnomah County Grand Jury indicted 33-year-old Gina M. Hoesly on One Count of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree (MDMA/Ecstasy) and Six Counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree (Methamphetamine and Cocaine). Gina Hoesly, a Portland Police Officer for the past twelve years, has been on leave since June 2000 and officially relieved of her police duties on April 5, 2002.

In March 2002, the Portland Police Bureau received information, from an informant, that Gina Hoesly was possibly using controlled substances. The Portland Police Bureau’s Drugs and Vice Division initiated a criminal investigation. On June 12, 2002, the information was presented to a Multnomah County Grand Jury. The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office is negotiating with Gina Hoesly’s attorney for a date and time for her to surrender at the Justice Center Jail.

Oregon State law does not allow the Portland Police Bureau to release a photograph of Officer Gina Hoesly.
