Child Abuse suspect receives 10 year sentence

FORMER YOUTH VOLUNTEER SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS IN PRISON

On July 3, 2002, a Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge sentenced 62-year-old Jerry R Dusenberry to more than 10 years in prison after he pled guilty to three counts of Sex Abuse in the First Degree and one count of Attempted Sex Abuse in the First Degree. The investigation began in November of 2001 when the mother of an 8-year-old child called the Portland Police Bureau to report that her child may have been molested. The plea agreement includes allegations of criminal conduct with four separate victims. Until his arrest, Dusenberry had been actively involved in numerous local and national sports and recreation programs for more than 30 years.
