Teenager reports attempted abduction

On December 2, 2002, at 1:00 p.m., a 15-year-old female was reportedly waiting for a bus at the intersection of Southeast 52nd Avenue and Southeast Woodward Street when a suspect grabbed her and attempted to pull her into a nearby car. The victim was able to free herself from the suspects grasp by kicking him in the shin. The victim was not injured in the assault.

The suspect is described as a White Male in his 30's with a possible goatee, 6' 2," medium build, wearing a black T-shirt and jeans. The suspect was driving a black-colored, 2-door car with possible Washington State license plates.

Anyone with information in this investigation is asked to call the Portland Police Bureau School Division at (503) 823-2166.

This investigation is continuing.
