Homicide Investigation SE 66th and Reedway

On Friday, December 13, 2002, at 4:34 in the afternoon, Southeast Precinct uniform officers were dispatched to SE 66th and Reedway on a report of shots fired and a subject face down in the street. Upon arrival officers found a white male believed to be approximately twenty-two years of age lying in the front yard of a vacant house and suffering from apparent gun shot wounds. The subject was transported from the scene via ambulance but later died.

Witnesses reported seeing a man about 6'2" tall, with a medium build, dark wavy hair and dark clothing running from the scene. Officers attempted to track the subject with a K-9, but were unsuccessful.

The name of the victim is being with held pending notification of next of kin.

12-14-02 UPDATE HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION (SE 66TH AVENUE / SE REEDWAY STREET)

The victim has been identified as 20-year old Marcus Allen Moultrie, who lived in the 5600 block of SE 65th Avenue. According to an autopsy, conducted by the Medical Examiner's Office, the victim died of multiple gunshot wounds.

Investigators would like to locate "a vehicle of interest" and also "a person of interest" that were reportedly in the area. The vehicle is described as an early to mid-80's Dodge Colt Hatchback, with a paint scheme of Maroon over Silver over Maroon and "lots" of body damage. The vehicle may also have a cracked or broken windshield. The person is described as a male about 6'2" tall, with a medium build, dark wavy hair and dark clothing, including a black or dark colored leather jacket.
