On Saturday, March 15, 2003, at approximately 2:15 in the afternoon, a motorist, driving a light silver-blue, 4-door Mercedes-Benz, was westbound on the Morrison Bridge. At the same time a group of protestors, who had been part of a march in downtown Portland, ran onto the Morrison Bridge eastbound in an attempt to disrupt traffic. The motorist stopped to let the protestors past. When he did, several of the protestors sat on his car and one of the protestors ran up onto the roof of the vehicle and began jumping up and down, causing extensive damage.
The suspect is described as a white male in his early to mid-twenties. The suspect is approximately 5'7" tall and weighs roughly170 pounds, with brown or reddish brown ear length hair and sideburns and glasses. At the time he was wearing a dark shirt and blue jeans with a belt and wallet chain.
