Gang Enforcement Team seizes drugs, guns, and money

On Thursday, October 30, 2003, members of the Portland Police Bureau Gang Enforcement Team and Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT) arrested 32-year-old Selwyn T. Stafford and 32-year-old Shannon Stafford on one count each of Delivery, Manufacture, and Possession of Cocaine in connection with the seizure of more than six pounds of powdered cocaine, six ounces of crack cocaine, more than $59,000 in cash, four guns, and five vehicles. Selwyn Stafford also faces multiple charges of being an ex-con in possession of a handgun. The suspects were arrested after SERT executed two warrants at 4:00 a.m. this morning.
Selwyn Stafford is suspected of supplying crack cocaine intended for re-distribution. The Gang Enforcement Team continues to conduct investigations designed to disrupt the gang-related trafficking of controlled substances and other gang-related crime in the Portland Area.
This investigation is continuing.
