Crime Stoppers for the Week of November 17, 2003

November 20, 2003 00:00

Portland Police, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers, are asking for your help in solving a homicide.

On Sunday, October 12, 2003, at 8:45 in the evening, the mother of 22-year-old Cameron Brandice Ware called 9-1-1 to report that her son had just been shot in front of the family home in the 5800 block of Northeast 18th Avenue. Ware was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where he later died from his wounds.

According to Homicide Detectives, Cameron Ware was near his vehicle, which was parked in front of the family home, when he was shot. At this point in the investigation, detectives are unable to determine if the death of Cameron Brandice Ware was in any way gang related. Detectives continue to look for additional witnesses.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for in formation, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in this case, or any unsolved felony crime, and you need not give your name. Call Crime Stoppers at (503) 823-HELP (4357).
