On Friday April 9, 2004, at about 9:00 p.m., police were called to the 6700 block of N Vancouver Ave., to investigate the report of shots fired. When officers arrived they found 24 year old Robert Orlando Holliday, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Holliday was taken to Emanuel Hospital, where he later died.
Detectives said Holliday was sitting in his car, talking to two black males who were outside his car. He pulled off the street into a driveway on N Vancouver. The two approached his car again, this time multiple shots were fired. Holliday was left sitting in his car, where police found him. The suspects ran off on foot.
The first suspect is described as a black male, about 17 to 20 years old. He is approximately 6 feet tall, 200 pounds. He was wearing black, baggy sweat pants, a black sweatshirt or windbreaker, and a black baseball cap.
The second suspect is described as a black male, about 17 to 20 years old. He is about 5’10” and chubby. He was wearing black baggy pants and a black windbreaker.
Detectives would like to talk to anyone with information about this case.
