Between April 3 and April 5, 2004, an unidentified woman cashed stolen checks with forged identification at various banks in Portland. The checks had been taken from professional offices in thefts or burglaries. The sum of the cashed checks is about forty thousand dollars. It is not clear exactly how the suspect came into possession of the checks.
Through their investigation police think the woman may be assisted by a man, but do not have any other details about him, nor do they have a photo of him.
Bank surveillance cameras captured photos of the female suspect. Police hope you will recognize the woman in the photo and call with her name and any other information you may have about her. She appears to be a white female in her 20’s, with brown hair past her shoulders. In one photo she is wearing eyeglasses.
Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to the identification and arrest of the suspect in this case, or an arrest in any unsolved felony, and you may remain anonymous. Call Crime Stoppers at (503) 823-HELP (4357).
