Crime Stoppers Of The Week

June 15, 2004 00:00

The FBI, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers, needs your help in finding a person wanted for bank fraud.

22-year-old Ayesha Elizabeth Johnson, was indicted by a federal grand jury for bank fraud. The indictment stems from crimes committed in Washington. Johnson opened bank accounts, inflated the balance with worthless checks and made off with the money.

Johnson is described as a black female, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 165 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.

The FBI says that Johnson has ties to Portland and Salem. While agents have checked past addresses without success, she is believed to be in the area.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to the arrest of the suspect in this case, or any unsolved felony, and you may remain anonymous. Call Crime Stoppers at (503) 823-HELP (4357).
