Crime Stoppers Of The Week

The Portland Police in cooperation with Crime Stoppers would like your help identifying a rape suspect.

On March 29, 2005 at about 2:00 p.m. a twelve year old girl was raped at Columbia Park. This incident occurred near North Woolsey Avenue and North Lombard Street. Detectives have released an artist’s sketch of the suspect.

He is described as a black male, 20 to 25 years old, 5’8”, with a thin build. The suspect has dark eyes and a smooth complexion with a thin “peach fuzz” type mustache on his upper lip. At the time of the incident the suspect was wearing a black baseball cap and black “do rag” on his head, a puffy black jacket with a fur lined hood over a white tank top. He had on dark blue denim pants and white tennis shoes. He was wearing a gold chain with rectangular links around his neck.

Anyone with information about this case or who can identify the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in this case, or any unsolved felony, and you may remain anonymous. Call Crime Stoppers at (503) 823-HELP (4357).
